Welcome to Music Class! My name is Sarah Newlands, and I am proud to be the music teacher at Ringgold Elementary School! In our class, we focus on becoming well-rounded, appreciative musicians who perform at our highest standard. I love having the opportunity to inspire my students and watch them grow both musically and ethically. Before becoming the music teacher at Ringgold, I studied music education and flute performance and received my Masters Degree in Conducting from Austin Peay State University. I have taught General Music in Tennessee for four years. In addition to teaching, I also have the pleasure of directing the Intermezzo division of the Clarksville Youth Orchestra. Spreading the joy of music to the children and youth of Clarksville, TN is a joyful endeavor to which I wish to devote my life.
