Welcome to the Art Room! My primary goal in life is to share my passion for the visual arts with anyone who is willing to learn. I received my degree from Austin Peay's Art Education program; studying under professional artist that I truely admire. My experience also includes working for over eight years at the Customs House Museum, and exhibiting my own artwork in juried shows across the country. Now I'm in my seventh year of teaching at a school that I truly love, Ringgold Elementary. My classroom focuses on encouraging our students to be creative, express themselves, and to solve problems by thinking outside of the box. Visual art is one of the oldest and most universal forms of communication, and is a subject matter that I believe is vital to our students' development.
