I am a mama to two big kids. My son attends high school in this incredible school district, and my daughter is a third generation APSU Gov. I was a military kid, graduated high school in NOLA, and received my Bachelor's Degree from Austin Peay State University with honors as a single mom. I have taught pre-K, kinder, first grade, and third grade math and science. I'm so excited to work with 1st graders again this year! It is my favorite grade! Outside of teaching, I love outdoorsy stuff and upcycling, reading, saving memes and quotes, superhero movies, playing guitar, crafting and painting, and spending time with my musical family. I believe in every child's potential to achieve a bright and happy future through education, and I set high standards for my students and myself.
